The foam in the modules is castellated to provide a comfortable deceleration and all the modules have flame retardant reinforced PVC covers with vents.
The 8 base units lock together and are covered with a 100mm thick spike proof wearsheet to form the complete landing area. The wearsheet is reversible to extend its life.
