There is a steel net retaining rod which holds the net tight to the post all the way. These come complete with 2 square galvanised sockets with hinged lids to keep out dirt and leave a flush surface when the posts have been removed.
These sockets need to be fitted in the ground and should be set in blocks at least 600mm cube.
